About Us

“Strong Faith + Strong Mind + Strong Body = Strong Future!”

Due to the excessive amount of childhood obesity, programs at The Zone Sports Complex have been created to address this epidemic in order to encourage children to be healthy and boost their self-esteem through various activities under the guidance of Christian counselors and trainers who promote a ‘Strong Faith, Strong Mind, and Strong Body’ mentality on a daily basis.

Childhood obesity has more than tripled in the past 30 years. The prevalence of obesity among children aged 6 to 11 years increased from 6.5% in 1980 to 19.6% in 2008. The prevalence of obesity among adolescents aged 12 to 19 years increased from 5.0% to 18.1%.

Obese children and adolescents are at risk for health problems during their youth and as adults. For example, during their youth, obese children and adolescents are more likely to have risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease (such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and Type 2 diabetes) than are other children and adolescents.

Healthy lifestyle habits, including healthy eating and physical activity, can lower risk of becoming obese and developing related diseases.
